ENDURO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: DOMINO’S MASTERPIECE IN THE SPANISH GP WITH SALVINI
The beautiful and historic town of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, hosted the second round of the Enduro World Championship.
An intense competition in a sunny Saturday and in a heavy-rainy Sunday, with a route of 65 km to repeat three times both on Saturday and on Sunday, for a total of 12 special test per day.
Alex Salvini ruled E2 class with the Husqvarna of JET-Zanardo Team getting two outstanding victories. On Saturday he won the Overall EnduroGP classification too, while on Sunday he finished second just one step away from the podium. Salvini also won the Super Test of Friday evening.
JET-Zanardo Team, led by Team Manager Franco Mayr, also shone with Rua Barbosa, twice third in EY class with the Husqvarna TE 125 2T and in EJ2 class with Joe Wootton, fifth on Saturday and sixth on Sunday because of two crashes.
Now no time to relax: the Enduro World Championship moves from Spain to Portugal, to Castelo Branco, for the third round of the season.
