MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: AMAZING SECOND PLACE FOR IANNONE AT PHILLIP ISLAND
The MotoGP World Championship moved from Motegi to Phillip Island, Australia, for the second round of the overseas.
Another important event for Domino: closer to the end of a successful season, at Australian GP the Italian company collected two extraordinary podium in MotoGP and in Moto2.
Outstanding second place for Andrea Iannone at the end of a hard-fought battle against Dovizioso. For the Suzuki’s rider is the fourth podium of the year after the third places at Austin, Jerez and Aragon. Fifth final position for his teammate Alex Rins, who got important points in the manufacturer standing.
In Moto2: Francesco Bagnaia was 12th at Phillip Island, postponed the title party, while an unstoppable Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Ajo) won in front of Joan Mir (EG 0.0 Marc VDS), second. The poleman Mattia Pasini (Italtrans Racing Team) crashed on lap two, while in the top ten finished Luca Marini (SKY Racing Team VR46) fifth, Alex Marquez (EG 0.0 Marc VDS) seventh and Fabio Quartararo (Speed Up Racing) tenth.
In Moto3 Tatsuki Suzuki (Sic58 Squadra Corse) led an incredible race recovering from the 24th to the 4th position. Sixth position for Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia 0.0), eighth for Enea Bastianini (Leopard Racing), while Petronas Sprinta Racing’s riders, Adam Norrodin and Ayumu Sasaki, finished seventh and tenth.
Now the MotoGP World Championship is moving to Malaysia for the last round of the overseas before the grand season finale in Valencia.
