ENDURO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AND ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP: AMAZING PERFORMANCE FOR DOMINO’S RIDERS
The 2018 enduro season began with a long series of victories and podiums for the teams and riders who have chosen Domino products.
The first round of the 2018 Enduro World Championship was the Päijänteen Ympäriajo, the race around Lake Päijänne, raced in mid-March. This 83rd edition was one of the coldest, with temperatures below zero (Saturday -13°-14° C and Sunday -7°-2° C) and over a meter of snow. Alex Salvini (Team JET-Zanardo - Husqvarna 450 FE) conquered the third and the second steps of the podium of E2 class. He also won the opening round of the Italian Championship, raced in Passirano (BS), getting the first step of the podium in the Overall classification and in the 450 4T class. In Passirano victory also for Riccardo Crippa (125 class) and Claudio Spanu (Youth class). Third place for Manuel Monni in 250 4T class, for Oscar Balletti in 450 4T class and for Luca Marcotulli in 300 2T class.
Great results also in the second round of Italian Championship, raced in Sanremo on March 25th. Alex Salvini repeated the success of the first round, winning the 450 4T class and finishing second in the Overall standing. In the Youth class Claudio Spanu got the second seasonal victory, while Riccardo Crippa (125 2T), Alessandro Battig (450 4T) and Manuel Monni (250 4T) get the third step of the podium.
Amazing start in the Under 23/Senior Italian Championship too, where Domino got four victories. First place for: Claudio Spanu (Junior 125), Riccardo Crippa (Senior 125), Luca Marcotulli (Senior 300), Matteo Bresolin (Jet-Zanardo in Senior 250 4T), Lorenzo Bernini (Suzuki-Valenti in 50 Cadets). Second place for Leonardo Ravizzola (Cadetti 125 class), Matteo Rossi (Junior 450 4T class) and Riccardo Fabris (Cadetti 50 class). Third position for Andrea Spagliaccia (Cadetti 50 class).
Next Enduro competition is the third round of the Italian Championship, scheduled on April 7th-8th in Castiglion Fiorentino (AR).
