MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: SIMONCELLI OPENS AGAIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP IN 250 CLASS WITH A GREAT VICTORY
04/10/2009 - Great results for Domino in the MotoGP World Championship 250 class, where the 2008 World Champion Marco Simoncelli conquers on Estoril track a wonderful victory that opens again the games for the conquest of the world title.
After a start in which have dominated the Spanish riders, Simoncelli joined up the head group and he has fought to impose himself to the first position, centering the fifth seasonal victory. A success that allows him to shorten the lengths in the world standing from the Japanese Hiroshi Aoyama, who has finished in the fourth place.
With three competitions to race before the end of the season, Aoyama is at the top of the classification with 218 points, the Spanish Alvaro Bautista follows with 192 (today forced to the withdrawal) and third Marco Simoncelli, third with 190 points.
Great also the performance of Julez Cluzel of Matteoni Racing Team,who has closed in fifth position.
