Not easy day for Yamaha World SBK Team and the riders Ben Spies and Tom Sykes. This weekend, near the end of the championship, Imola’s race has not brought the results the team waited for. Ben Spies has fought with grim and determination to bring back home the best results and at the end the fourth and the fifth place have allowed him to contain to three points the disadvantage in the world standing with Haga. For Ben there is the regret for Race 2 where, without an out of track to avoid a contact with Biaggi, he would surely have been gone on the podium.
Complicated competitions also for Tom Sykes: the English rider has felt the effects of the fall of Friday, but he has succeeded in conquering precious points that have allowed him to preserve the eighth position in the classification.
