SUPERBIKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: DOMINO AND BEN SPIES LEADER OF THE WORLD STANDING
06/09/2009 - After a summer holiday long more than one month, on Sunday was raced the eleventh date of the Superbike World Championship. Raced in Germany, on the circuit of Nurburgring, the Superbike has finally seen the duel that all were waiting: Noriyuki Haga vs Ben Spies. In Race 1, after a double start because of a fall that in the first lap has involved more than one rider, the Japanese and the American have done the difference, leaving the emptiness behind and fighting up to the end, but at the end victory has gone to the rider of Yamaha World Superbike Team. Fantastic also Race 2, in which Spies has gone on the second step of the podium behind Jonathan Rea.
With these two great results and the fall of Haga, Spies and Domino are officially the new leaders of the classification with eighteen points of difference from the Japanese.
Next date with the Superbike World Championship is on September 27th in Italy on the circuit of Imola. |
